Family Friendly Meditation on Sunday Mornings

Family Friendly Sunday MeditationParents of young children – this weekly event is an opportunity for you to have the time and space to meditate with other adults while your children are engaged and well cared for in their own program. When Mom and Dad are grounded and refreshed with mindful awareness the whole family benefits.

Adults will sit in meditation (with instruction as needed) from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., and then have conversation and refreshments. Meanwhile, children ages 3 – 10 will be guided in games, puzzles, stories, arts and crafts and other activities. Older children are welcome, and will have the opportunity to develop their own program.

The children’s program will be staffed by Madge Rossinoff and Dali Kapanadze. Madge has been a preschool teacher for fifteen years and before that, she established literacy programs for children in the Northeast Kingdom. Dali is from Ukraine, and is a senior student at the St. Johnsbury Academy. She and her mother have many close friendships and familial connections in the St. Johnsbury area. Dali offers, “I am patient and friendly, I love learning new things, and helping others to understand them”.

This program is free and open to the public. Meditation cushions (or chairs) are provided and instruction is available.
